This is the 2nd in our HOMESCHOOL Field Trip Series
for the 2010-11 School Year!
Thursday November 18, 2010 at Rye Preserve in Bradenton
9:30 am - Noon
Pioneer Thanksgiving
Join us for our 10th Annual Cracker Thanksgiving at Rye. This is a reservation only event since we have such a super turnout!
We encourage the entire family to participate in this covered dish feast.
Hike to one of the first cemeteries on the west coast of Florida. Learn about the hardy pioneers who settled this ancient dune.
We will also be investigating how development is impacting the Upper Manatee River and its watershed.
- There is an additional fee for this trip due to food costs.
- You are requested to bring a covered dish to share - to serve 8-10. A dish that is a tradition in your family is encouraged. You will be asked to share your food story at the feast.
